In a Styrofoam cup, record the temperature of the 200 ml of cold water. This is 200 g of water, as the density of water is 1 g/ml. 2. Obtain a sample of metal that has been immersed in boiling water and place it in the cup of water. 3. Wait until the temperature no longer rises (thermal equilibrium), and record the temperature increase. 4. Discard the water and measure the mass of the metal. 5. Repeat the above for each metal.
